Response to the "Round-the-Island Trail" on Hong Kong Island in the"2022 Policy Address" 對《2022年施政報告》中「活力環島長廊」的回應

We support the suggestion on a "Round-the-Island Trail" on Hong Kong Island in "The Chief Executive's 2022 Policy Address" delivered by the Chief Executive Mr John Lee yesterday. 
The concept of Coastal Trail has long been supported by the community since our promotion. We are happy that the government initiative is in line with our objective of Coastal Trail. As proposed in the Policy Address, a completion of 90% of the trail is targeted in five years. 
We believe that the initiative can promote a water-friendly environment and add variety to the activities of citizens. To cope with the missing links along the trail, we hope different government departments can better cooperate and support the initiative. We are looking forward to a more walkable and accessible coastal trail in Hong Kong Island.

我們喜見行政長官李家超先生樂於聽取意見，並在十月十九日發表的《行政長官2022年施政報告》所公布的新項目決定在香港島建造「活力環島長廊」，使我們自二零二一年起提倡的港島環島徑概念能夠成功實現，此項目充分體現創建香港一直以來的堅持並沒有白費。

《施政報告》中公布建造「活力環島長廊」是一項重要項目，有助連接港島北岸海濱長廊及南區多條現有海濱和郊野步行徑，並為市民的活動加添不同元素。此項目可為居民和遊客提供一個方便、可行的沿海行人道，充分體現政府對支持香港社區建設發展的承諾。明年起政府將進行研究及設計並展開工程，並計劃在五年內完成駁通全長約60公里的長廊，以將香港發展為宜居宜遊國際城市的目標為市民提供更多元化的休閒選擇。
一如既往，我們願與政府攜手合作，務求高效及迅速地增加休閒設施及項目，讓政府繼續建設和優化城市，並支持政府為香港未來的策略性發展作進一步貢獻。
