Central and Western District Council and Eastern District Council approved the implementation of HKICT 中西區區議會及東區區議會通過設置港島環島徑

Cultural, Education, Healthcare, Leisure & Social Affairs Committee of Central and Western District Council and Planning, Works and Housing Committee of Eastern District Council approved the implementation of HKICT. 

In the discussion of Central and Western District Council, the motion mentioned the opening of Central Military Dock, the improvement of Shun Tak Centre pedestrian linkage, widening the pavement next to ​Western Water Selling Kiosk, improvement of the northern coast of Cadogan Street Temporary Garden and China Merchants Wharf Pier. 

In the discussion of Eastern District Council, the motion mentioned the improvement of public space near North Point Ferry Pier, relocation of Sai Wan Ho Marine Police Base, widening the promenade in Quarry Bay and opening of pedestrian access through Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence. Besides, the Petition is still working in progress. Until now, there are 33 district councillors across Hong Kong Island signing the petition, which urges the government to create a Hong Kong Island Coastal Trail by linking existing promenades and pathways into a coherent route.

在中西區區議會的討論中，委員們討論了開放中環軍事碼頭、完善信德中心地面行人路、擴闊西區食水買水站之路段、改善加多近街臨時花園以北海濱土地及招商局碼頭海濱。

在東區區議會的討論中，委員們討論了改善北角碼頭旁的公共空間，遷移西灣河水警基地，擴闊鰂魚涌海濱，以及開放行人徑通過海防博物館。詳情請參閱這裏。

除此之外，四區聯署仍然進行中。截至目前為止，已有33位港島區區議員聯署，要求政府連接現有的海濱長廊和行人道成一條連貫的路線，並建立港島環島徑。
